Beta v0842 - Evolution
Three weeks ago we did present Empires in Ruins at EGX Birmigham. While the press didn't consider us at all (I can't honestly say why, probably we are just not that trendy or interesting enough yet), the feedback from the players was amazing.
We could really see in their eyes the genuine pleasure after having played the shorthand version of the beta ( it was just 6 waves of enemies but packed with pain and flavor), it was possibly the biggest and most pleasant boost to self confidence we ever got!
We did list all the feedback we got (both from the players and from observing them playing), then we did go online and we did expose our doubts about colors, contrast, etc etc, and we did filter, summarize and apply all we got back from the discussion. And here it is, lots of fixes, polish and improvements, we really hope you do enjoy playing it.

- All on-screen menus mutually close each other
- Builders' tent repair paths fixed
- Construction sites now have a menu and can be cancelled before finishing
- Fixed multiple minor issues with builders and builder's tent
- Health bar now changes color according to damage taken
- Added click sounds to most of the Buttons
- Upgraded towers now have fixed depth buffer positions
- Fixed issues with tower abilities tooltips
- Tower abilities animator was time-dependent and didn't work with paused game
- Builders are now pooled and optimized fixed UI issues with working/not working
- Fixed and tested all costs modifiers for buildings and towers
- Increased readability of icons on building menu
- Enhanced color saturation and contrast for units, buildings and terrains
- Fixed an issue with building placeholder getting stuck on screen
- Trees and maps props become transparent when building
- Resources placement areas fixed, now only allowed to build in correct grid cells
- Finalized the soundtrack with "Red Glory" now having the correct fade in and volumes
- Tower tooltips now show the difference between current tower stats and upgrade tier stats
- When full screen UI panels are open, the mouse wheel stops zooming in and out
- Fixed scroll bar of the tower details panel
- Fixed bug that caused the Marauders to stop because of scouting towers
- Tower encyclopedia now shows also temple abilities
- UIs updated v03
